I'm most like my father in my family. We look like each other a lot.Everyone says we both have small eyes and round faces

Do you go on holiday with your family?(Why? / Why not?)


Yes,I do.Actually we go on holiday every year together with my parents because now I'm tooyoung to travel by myself, and my parents can help me with lots of things during our holiday.


Tell us about a good teacher you've had.


I'd like to say a bit about my English teacher. He was funny,kind, and most importantly, very patient with us. Whenever we have any questions, he's always more than happy to answer them.And he always says,there're no stupid questions when you're learning!


Do you ever meet your friends in the evenings after school?


Normaly I don't. The reason is that we don't really have much free time after school. We all have to do our homework first, and some of us have to do after-school courseS.


Tell me about a realy good friend of yours.(Do you share the same interests?)


I'dlike to talk about Mike,who is a really good friend of mine.He is of the same age as me,and he goes to the same school as I do. We often play (hang out)with each other after school in the playground downstairs. We have a lot in common in terms of interests and hobbies,for example, pop music, video games,etc.

Is there a sport or hobby youenjoy doing? What do you do? Why do you like it?


I really enjoy swimming.Even in the winter,Igo swimming regularly in a pool near my home.Iguess I like it because Iam pretty good at it and I ike the feeling when I'm in the water. It just feels right.


What's your favorite subject at school? Why do you like it?



My favorite subject at school is maths.Ilike it because it is challenging,andI feel great when I solve a difficult maths problem.

If you could learn a new skill, What would you choose to do? Why?

If I could learn a new skill, 'd probably learn to play the guitar. Though Icould already play a musical instrument-the piano, that is,-I'd really like to learn another whichI could take with me whenI go to social events, like parties, you know.

Do you like reading? What do you read? Why do you like it?

I do.I read a lot of nonfction as well as fctions.My favorite genre of books is science fiction.I like it because those books are about the future and they involve a lot of advanced technology, which is interesting to read about.

Have you seen a good film recently? Tell me about it.

Well recentlyI saw a flm called The Avengers. It's one of those superhero movies which are very exciting because they're full of action like car chase and explosions.

Do you like to be busy every day?(Why? / Why not?)

No,I don't like to be busy every day. It's becauseI need some free time to relax.

Do you enjoy watching TV?

Well sometimes.When I'm tired and need a rest,Ienjoy just lying on the sofa and seeing an interesting program.But the thing is, sometimes there's too many advertisements.

Do you enjoy using the Internet in your free time? Why / Why not?

I do enjoy using the Internet in my free time. I use it for all kinds of things, such as video chatting with friends, doing research,etc. I thinkI enjoy using the Internet because it has become an indispensable part of our lives.

Is there anything you'd like to study in the future? (Why?)

Well,let me think.I might want to study Geography in the future because I've always been interested in things like rivers, forests,mountains, that kind of thing. 

What are you going to do in the evening today?

I'm probably going to have dinner with my parents and go back home together to watch a flm on TV with them.

What would you like to do for your next birthday? (Why?)

I'd like to go to Disneyland in Shanghai, which was newly built. It's the frst Disneyland in mainland China,and I'd like to see what's different from other Disneylands in other countries.

What would you like to do when you leave school?

I think I'm going to study science in a university, because getting a degree is very important in starting a career whenIgraduate.I might work in a tech company as a software engineer.

Have you got any plans for this weekend? What are you going to do?

Actually I don't have any plans for this weekend.I thinkI might stay home and complete my homework first. Then I'm going to relax myself by watching some TV or doing some reading.

Have you done anything interesting with your friends recently?(What did you do with them?)

Well,we've done quite a few things recently. Anything interesting? Well, we went to a movie together the other day which was pretty good. It was a wonderful experience.

Places you go

Are yougoing to go on holiday this year? Where are you going to go?

Iam.Im going to Thailand with my family.We're going to spend a week there.I really look forward to spending time on the beach and relaxing. My parents are going to spend some time shopping there.

Where did you go for your last holiday? What was it like?

Well,Iwent to Hawail last March.It was great-lots of seafood,and we did quite a lot of hiking on one of the islands there.People were really friendly too.

Are there any nice places to go in your town? What are they? What makes them nice?

In Beijing, you could go to the Hutong,or the traditional alleyways dating back all the way to the Yuan Dynasty.These Hutongs,or alleyways are nice because when you walk in them you could really feel the history and appreciate the beauty of the traditional architecture.

If you could be anywhere now, where would it be and why?

I think I'd go to the Antarctica.It's so mysterious and not many people have been there.Iknow there's a research center where scientists could work in all year round, and I'd love to pay a visit if I could.
